End your blame game or yourself, choice is yours.
End your blame game or yourself, choice is yours.
- Daiemah Malik delineates
Bleating and blaming things on others has been the redeemer for us since the time we were all kids.
Didn’t do your homework? Well blame it on your friend or the teacher or most of the times the
education system for over-burdening us so much that we couldn’t complete our work and you get
saved. And so it turned into a tendency and when we were all blamed for ruining our environment; for the climate change; for our litter that eventually goes into the oceans resulting in destroying the
ecosystem in it, the coral reefs and also resulting in the creation of the great pacific garbage patch which is a gyre of marine debris particles in the north central pacific ocean and many such other hazards that the humanity is responsible for, we blame it on the organizations, the government and well most importantly: OTHERS. Because blame game has always been one of those things we’ve all aced in, be it homework or well, the whole world.
But while acing our skills in this blame-game we tend to have forgotten that blaming and ignorance is
also a poise of choice. You choose to blame it on others because somewhere deep down in your heart
you are repenting what you have done to your own environment, the forthcoming generations and to
yourself and so you use your unparalleled blaming skills to get rid of the internal void that your own
actions have created. One of the most common ignorant responses is, “what other options do I have?”
Talking of options, one of the easiest is: to die and let die; and another which is slightly harder but well at least will cost you less than a life is: to refuse and choose better alternatives which includes wearing bio degradable and environment friendly clothes and promoting them rather than flaunting that extravagant snake skinned leather bag of yours or that a la mode polyester clothes which are made from petrochemicals and are non bio degradable in nature , refusing single use plastic and the use of PVC, and maybe not getting involved in the incessant cycle of: Use plastic, Litter, Repent, repeat. For presently, we do not have a choice at Earth 2.0 to destroy as well, so better deal with the mess we’ve created here.
Well, no one’s guilt-free here and so aren’t even the authorities. We all hold our share of guilt and play a role in the blame game. But where has this blame game taken us? To the perpetual water crisis and the inevitable water wars in the future, or to the over population, lack of resources, pollution, diseases and epidemics or the heating emissions? It’s time to realize that instead of blaming things on others NOW is the time to take charge as we are the citizens of not just some particular nation but also of the world and these borders and divisions on basis of caste, creed, religion, color and language have to be prevailed over and we’ve to all come together and save each other from the hazards in cue. For the blame game is no longer durable and effective because in my opinion it has taken us to nowhere but mass extinction.

DeleteThe choice is quite elementary and simple, yet people choose wilful blindness over knowledge.
ReplyDeleteexactly, we need to do better as humans
